About me

DBS Checked

Pascale Wilson

Hi! My name is Pascale, I'm a comedian, writer and a mother with more than two decades of experience in TV, film and theatre - I have performed for seven consecutive years at the Edinburgh Festival as well as appearing in shows in LA and West End theatres.

This experience has taught me how to stand confidently in venues holding thousands of people as well as how to keep calm in the chaos of a film set and how to entertain punters in a pub on a wet Wednesday evening.

While there’s nothing like the rapturous applause that normally follows the end of a show, every comedian knows all to well about the heckles, or worse, silence. This is where my resilience training has been invaluable, allowing me to face the tough times head on, turn the situation around and then do it all again the next night.

I started my acting training at the Jacques Lecoq school in Paris in 2002, a renowned training ground for performers. There I learnt the art of mask, mime, clowning and how to imitate a giraffe perfectly! Returning to London, I then studied acting at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama whose alumni includes Judi Dench, Kit Harrington and Riz Ahmed.

I'm delighted to bring all the skills I learned at these great institutions and use them to help young people to find their voices.

Why should I sign up?

We all know what it's like to face nerve-wracking situations, but for children such stressful times can feel impossible to handle - and many withdraw as a result. Whether that leaves them shy in social situations, unable to stand in front of the class or panicked at the prospect of speaking in public.

I will give your child positive and practical techniques that will improve their speaking and confidence when in unfamiliar social settings and when they are in the spotlight.

I will take them through a series of workshops which use acting training techniques for breathing, projection, public speaking, storytelling and presenting. This will all improve their communication skills, creativity and engaging with others around them.
